Navigating the First Year offers a village of support, understanding, and practical advice for parents of infants. If you’re ready to feel more confident and less alone, this is the space you’ve been looking for.

You’re in the right place.

Looking for a lifeline to steady you through the whirlwind of infancy?

Let's be real with each other for a second. Are any of these what-ifs keeping you up at night?
  • What if my baby isn’t eating enough—or too much?
  • What if this overwhelming exhaustion is just my new normal?
  • What if we never start sleeping through the night?
  • What if I never feel like myself again?
  • What if it doesn't actually get any better than this?
  • What if this is just my body now?
  • What if I’m doing this all wrong and screwing up my kid?
  • What if I just ruined my life?
  • What if I'm just not cut out for this?
  • What if everyone else is better at this than me?

[Spoiler Alert: Self-doubt isn't a sign of failure—it's a normal part of any new experience, including parenthood.]

You knew life with a newborn wouldn’t be easy

But you didn’t quite expect it to be this hard.

It’s so easy to believe life with a baby should be one of the happiest times of your life. After all, most images of new parents make it look like nothing but newborn bliss.

But I’m sure you’ve realized by now that this commercialized version of infancy couldn’t be further from the truth.

I’m tired of seeing parents be told to just wait, and it gets better… because as true as those statements may be, even the best of intentions don’t help with the challenges you’re facing right now.

The problem isn't you.

The way we (as a society) support parents is broken.

If you want to find a bit more ease through this rollercoaster ride, what you really need is:
  • A safe, judgment-free space to express how you’re really feeling, no filters needed.
  • A supportive community of fellow parents navigating similar, sometimes murky waters.
  • A pocket of calm and comfort—a sanctuary of reassurance amid the chaos.
  • A trusted source for clarity and understanding when everything feels like a bit too much.
  • An empowering village to support and encourage you, that helps you build your confidence while you find your footing navigating the unknown.
  • An easy way to connect with others who really “get it,” from the comfort of your own home.

You don’t need to grit your way through the overwhelming isolation and confusion, waiting for things to get better.

  • Feel fully seen and supported as you navigate the profound shifts in identity this new role brings.
  • Finally find the words to make sense of and process your journey—physically, mentally, and emotionally—and feel less alone in the process.
  • Connect with fellow parents who get it—because sharing the highs and lows of infancy should feel normal, not isolating.
  • Get real answers to your burning baby questions (without having to doom scroll the web or second-guess yourself).
  • Discover the tools, accountability, and support you need to enjoy more of parenthood now—even in the chaos—instead of just waiting to magically find space to care for yourself, too.

Take a deep breath, close your eyes for a moment.

Imagine with me for a second—how would it feel to...

This isn’t just a space to come together; it’s a regular dose of comfort, learning, and growth for moms and other primary caregivers.

Each week, join us for a live community call on Zoom from the comfort of your own home—whether you’re holding a sleeping baby, wearing yesterday’s clothes with the messiest bun, or you're freshly showered and eating lunch.

We kick off each session with round-robin check-ins, so everyone has a chance to share the good, the bad, and the hopeful from the last week. Then, we move into open discussion or expert-led topics like the mental load, identity and matresence, self-care, and all things infant care (like feeding, traveling, and sleep).

Between calls, you’ll have access to helpful resources, a private online community, and direct support from me, your coach!

Join anytime during your infant’s first year (whether you’re 6 days, 6 weeks, or 6 months into it) and stay as long as you need—your village is here. (We even have a special, separate community you can move to when you feel like you’re comfortably out of the newness of the infant stage.)

This isn’t your one-size-fits-all parenting group.

It's all waiting for you in Navigating the First Year.

It’s where real talk meets real solutions.

I'M IN—WHERE DO I SIGN UP?

"What truly distinguishes the From Pregnant to Parent program is the unwavering commitment to preparing parents for birth and the whirlwind that follows. My sessions leading up to birth were not just informative, they were invaluable, equipping me with knowledge, strategies, and above all, a sense of calm amidst the anticipation of our first kid.

And the postpartum support group became a sanctuary during the chaos of the early months. Surrounded by fellow parents navigating similar waters, I found solace, understanding, and practical advice. It's where my exhaustion met empathy, confusion met clarity, and overwhelming emotions found a safe space to be expressed. I cannot recommend this community enough!

This isn't just a service but a lifeline for the transition from pregnancy to parenthood.
"

—Kelsey C, First-Time Mom

I can't recommend this community enough!

We’re here for you. As an added bonus, in addition to the weekly calls, private community, and ability to message me (your coach), you’ll ALSO get access to Monthly Office Hours.

Submit a question each month, and I’ll provide detailed, specific advice during a separate live community-wide call. Can’t make it live? Don’t sweat it! I’ll post the answer via an article or a quick video in the private community so you can watch it on your own time.

“As a new mom with no mom friends in my area, I needed space with other moms with support. I joined the group 12 days postpartum and immediately found the support I longed for.

I stayed for 9 months and met weekly with other moms discussing topics varying from breastfeeding to sleep schedules to postpartum everything. Richelle challenges you in ways that has you leaving the call feeling empowered to tackle your week until you meet again.

Richelle has been the best mentor, coach, doula, sleep expert, and all things motherhood. She’s also become an incredible friend. I recommend Richelle and any and all courses she offers to anyone!

You will only walk away a better person after knowing her!

“The key to Richelle's expertise, and what sets her apart from other doulas and birth & parenthood courses is the way she builds relationships for the long term, not just for a moment in time.

She prepared my husband and me to welcome a new baby with the most thorough information and the most warm and understanding mindset. She then guided me through labor and delivery in a way that I never could have imagined. She was supportive, smart, always goes above and beyond, caring, confident, and overall a total bad ass by my side in the hospital.

Fast forward - I am now five months postpartum and have participated in her From Pregnant to Parent program, including a community of moms all navigating their first year of baby's life.

The community group is awesome, supportive, and Richelle doubles as both a coach and peer willing to lend an empathetic ear. Richelle's offering that spans months before baby arrives, to many months after allows her to develop great relationships with her clients and their growing families.

I am so grateful for the investment Richelle has made in me and my family and look forward to many more years of friendship and support!"

As a coach, doula, and mom of 2 boys, I’ve experienced the rollercoaster that comes with adjusting to life as a new parent from the front row and directly in the seat.

I’ve been where you are, wondering if I’d ever feel like myself again and craving a sense of normalcy, confidence, and community through the physically, mentally, and emotionally demanding season after birth. Let’s be honest: parents need more support.

Navigating the First Year is the village I wish I had through my own postpartum struggles. Not only is it a place seek practical advice and empathetic support, but it’s also designed to meet you wherever you are in infancy—whether it’s been 10 days, weeks, or months since your baby was born.

If there’s one thing I’ve learned after years of helping new parents navigate this major life transition, it’s that being a good parent isn’t about having all the answers. What we really need to be our best as parents is a safe space to feel seen and heard, to get the reassurance you need, and simple steps you can take now to find more ease instead of just waiting for the hard parts to pass.

My mission is to help parents like you feel less overwhelmed, more confident, and better supported to truly enjoy more of this season of life—without sacrificing your own needs or losing yourself along the way.

Because you deserve a community where you feel safe, seen, and better equipped to handle whatever comes your way.

What if I don’t have time to join the weekly group calls?

I've got Answers.

Still have Questions?

I get it—parenthood is busy, and your days are unpredictable. That’s why all of our calls are virtual, to make it even easier to join regardless of what you have going on. You can join late, leave early, turn your camera on or off, participate via the chat only, or just listen. And if you can’t make it at all, don’t sweat it. That’s why we have a private online community, monthly office hours, and an online resource library—to support you between calls!

My baby is older than a newborn. Is this group still for me?

My baby is older than a newborn. Is this group still for me?

Absolutely! Once upon a time, this group was only for parents of newborns, but we realized very quickly that many parents need more support and space to navigate this transition on their own timeline. That’s why Navigating the First Year is for parents with children from birth through 12 months. We cover topics relevant to every stage of that first year.

Will I get personalized support?

Will I get personalized support?

Yes! During our weekly calls and monthly office hours, you’ll have time to ask questions and get tailored answers from your coach and fellow parents. I work hard to make sure our community feels safe and non-judgmental, but just in case you need support with a sensitive topic, you’ll also have direct access to me via private messaging within the community.

I feel like I should have it all figured out already. Don’t groups create spaces for comparison and judgment?

I feel like I should have it all figured out already. Don’t groups create spaces for comparison and judgment?

You’re not alone in feeling that way, but here’s the truth: parenthood is a learning process for everyone. This group is a judgment-free space to share your experiences, ask questions, and find encouragement. There’s no such thing as a perfect parent, and Navigating the First Year is here to help you feel more confident and supported in your journey at your own pace, wherever you’re at.

What’s the time commitment?

What’s the time commitment?

Our weekly calls are about an hour, but you can always choose how much time you dedicate each month. Even if you can only join the calls occasionally or participate in the group discussions when it fits your schedule, you’ll still benefit from the resources and community.

Is this group just for moms?

Is this group just for moms?

Nope! Although this group is geared towards birthing parents who identify as moms, this group is open to all parents and caregivers. Whether you’re a mom, dad, or another primary caregiver, you’re welcome here. The key requirement is that you’re parenting an infant.

I already have support from family and friends. What makes this different?

I already have support from family and friends. What makes this different?

While family and friends can be a great support system, Navigating the First Year gives you access to expert guidance, evidence-based strategies, and a community of parents who truly understand what you’re going through because they’re in it with you. Sometimes, it helps to connect with people outside your immediate circle to gain a fresh perspective, people who have the added benefit of holding their experience fresh in the mind. It’s truly amazing how fast we forget the details and how quickly information shifts around infant care, products, and guidance.

What if I’m nervous about opening up in a group setting?

What if I’m nervous about opening up in a group setting?

That’s completely normal. Our group is designed to feel safe and welcoming, and you’ll never be pressured to share more than you’re comfortable with. Many parents find it comforting just to hear others’ experiences and realize they’re not alone.

Is this a good replacement for therapy?

Is this a good replacement for therapy?

While this course offers tools for emotional regulation and a better understanding of your feelings, it's entirely focused on thought exercises, reflection, and practical strategies you can apply directly to your life. It’s a great complement to therapy, but it’s not a replacement or substitute for it.

Are you a therapist or a coach? What’s the difference?

Are you a therapist or a coach? What’s the difference?

I'm glad you asked! I am not a therapist, counselor, psychologist, doctor, or any other kind of licensed healthcare professional. I am a coach. While coaching can feel therapeutic, it’s not a replacement for therapy. Therapy tends to focus on the past to diagnose and treat clients healing from past traumas, whereas coaching is more future- and action-oriented, helping you achieve specific goals, outcomes, or transformations.

How is this different from a parenting class?

How is this different from a parenting class?

While parenting classes often focus on teaching specific skills, Navigating the First Year combines expert advice with emotional support, self-care strategies, and community connection. It’s not just about learning—it’s about feeling seen, supported, and empowered.

Can I cancel at any time?

Can I cancel at any time?

Yes! Navigating the First Year is a month-to-month or quarterly membership, so you’re free to cancel anytime. I want you to feel like this is the right fit for you without any pressure or long-term commitment. For this reason, you can cancel whenever you’re ready to move on—or you can “graduate” to our Empowered Parents Club to continue navigating parenthood with a community of support.

I’m a first-time parent/I’m NOT a first-time parent. Is this membership for me?

I’m a first-time parent/I’m NOT a first-time parent. Is this membership for me?

Absolutely! Whether you’re navigating parenthood for the first time or balancing the needs of multiple children, Navigating the First Year offers the support, tools, and community you need. Every baby is different, and this group is here to help you feel confident and supported no matter where you are in your parenting journey.

I’ve tried other moms' groups/ circles. How is this different?

I’ve tried other moms' groups/ circles. How is this different?

This isn’t just another group where you show up each week to share stories and swap advice (though we do that, too!). Navigating the First Year combines open discussions with coach-led discussions so you get practical strategies, personalized support, clarity, and a deeper sense of connection with the community and yourself. Most importantly? We’re here to support you through the entire first year if you want it!

When do we start?

When do we start?

You can apply to join at anytime! The group is ongoing, so there’s no need to wait for a specific start date as long as there is space available. The first step is to apply to join. That’s when we’ll discuss the group’s current day/time, and whether or not there’s a space available. Once you become a member, you’ll have instant access to our private online community, call schedule, and resource library, all hosted on Mighty Networks.

Do you ever “graduate” out of Navigating the First Year?

Do you ever “graduate” out of Navigating the First Year?

Yes! This membership is designed to support you through your baby’s first year. Once you feel more settled in your role or your little one turns 1, you’ll have the option to “graduate” or move on to our Empowered Parents Club, a community of support for parents navigating the early years of parenthood.

What happens if I don’t like it—can I cancel my membership?

What happens if I don’t like it—can I cancel my membership?

Yes, of course. Navigating the First Year is a month-to-month or quarterly membership with no long-term commitment. If you decide it’s not the right fit, you can cancel at any time—no hard feelings!

How often is the content updated?

Do you ever “graduate” out of Navigating the First Year?

The weekly group calls and discussions are always fresh and tailored to the questions and needs of current members. Plus, any tools, resources, or guides included in the membership are regularly reviewed to ensure they remain relevant and helpful. New resources are added to the library as needed. Have a request? Just ask!

Can I share my membership with my partner?

Do you ever “graduate” out of Navigating the First Year?

Yes…and no. Parenting is a team effort, and your partner is welcome to share your account to access any of the resources in the Online Resource Library. If you’re both planning to join the calls and participate in the private community, that would require two separate memberships. I’m happy to discuss this further after you apply!

Why do I need to apply to join?

Why do I need to apply to join?

I ask prospective members to apply for a few reasons. First and foremost, groups are limited to maintain intimacy and make sure everyone gets the support they need. During our call, you'll also find out the latest group call day/time, and discuss any changes to the format, I'm always working on finding ways to improve what I offer to best meet the needs of my clients and communities. I also believe it's important to ensure we're aligned before your first call so there are so surprises in terms of what to expect.
