Preparing for Parenthood

ARE YOU READY FOR IT?

PRE-SALE: SELF-PACED COURSE LAUNCHES JULY 1ST!

Learn all about the essentials...
and the parts "no one tells you about."

What if you didn't have to "wing it" as a new parent and figure it all out as you go?

Maybe you've even seen friends or coworkers become parents and share stories of feeling overwhelmed and underprepared... and you want to approach parenthood in a proactive way to minimize those feelings in your own experience.

But you've started looking into the many books, courses, social media accounts, and other resources out there, and you wish someone would synthesize it all into one easy-to-follow, digestible program that includes live access to an expert for questions.

You want to want to feel prepared for parenthood, not just birth and basic newborn care (although those things are great, too), but this whole new chapter of your life.

You're here because your family is growing, and you know there has to be a better way to prepare...

Client Love

"Richelle is charting out a new and much-needed model of supporting new parents, and we couldn’t be more grateful to have benefited from her care and guidance."

- Melissa C., Repeat Birth Client

This program was designed to change that. In 2020, I started out as a childbirth educator, and quickly discovered a gap. While it's true that there is no way to prepare for everything you're about to experience, we can absolutely do a better job preparing new parents for what's to come.

Preparing for Parenthood is the your crash course in the "essentials" and the things it can easily feel like no one is talking about--like sharing the mental load, exploring your parent identity, and navigating the emotional ups and down.

Join me to better prepare for your parenthood experience, so you can feel confident and ready for the road bumps ahead!

Here's what we cover:
  • Session 1: The Emotional Rollercoaster: Navigating the Transition
  • Session 2: Becoming a Parent: Exploring Your Identity
  • Session 3: Preparing for Baby: Navigating the First Year
  • Session 4: Building and Preparing Your Parenting Village of Support
  • Session 5: Partnering as Parents: Staying Connected & Sharing the Load
  • Session 6: Answering Your Lingering Questions: Open Discussion and Q&A

But what about Childbirth Prep?
It's not automatically included because I know there a lot of options for birth prep, and many people like to attend the birth classes at their local hospital. I wanted you to have the flexibility to choose!

At checkout, you'll have the option to add-on my 4-hour workshop: Preparing for Your Hospital Birth. During this workshop, we'll discuss labor stages, pain management, pushing, recovery, and more!

Why didn't anyone tell me?

We've heard too many new parents (including us), ask the question...

A prep Group that's so much more than just a Class.

Group learning and Expert support designed to help you Prepare for what's to come and navigate the early months with more confidence

Whether you're a first-time parent or have been through this transition before, we'll set you up for success with new skills, tools, and information while also holding space for you to share what you're experiencing and ask questions, so you have the chance to feel seen and validated as you prepare.

  • No more overwhelm as you try to figure out what you need to know, what resources you can trust, and where to find that information.

  • No more cramming it all into one day or one long weekend class, hoping you retain even half the information you just learned.

  • No more wondering, "Am I the only one?" in a group with people you're sure you'll never talk to again.

A village of support to help you prepare

Preparing mentally and emotionally during pregnancy can reduce the risk of mood disorders (like postpartum anxiety and depression) and ease the transition to parenthood.

The New York Times

  • You’re committed to “figuring it out as you go” and would rather do it on your own.

  • Science-backed data, inclusive language, and research-based information aren’t a priority for you and maybe even turn you off.

  • Starting a family is a distant goal or you’ve already had your baby.

This may not be for you if...

  • You're preparing to welcome a new baby into your family.

  • You’re feeling eager to learn…even if you don’t quite know where to start or what questions to ask.

  • You want to expand your parenting village with peers and experts to guide and support you.

This is for you if...

How do I know if this is right for me?

"From the very beginning, Richelle was genuine, warm, incredibly caring and extremely knowledgeable. I was blown away by the level of support she provided."

- Danielle W., First-Time Mom

Still feeling unsure if it's worth the investment?

Maybe you're wondering if this is worth the investment of your time, energy, and (let's be honest) money.

After all, you have a lot on your plate right now. There are so many appointments and things to do to get ready for your baby and prepare for the time away from work.

And, you're growing a human. Even if you do have the time, you're not sure you have the energy.

Plus, it likely already feels like you're spending money left and right preparing for your little one. You're wondering: won't my "parental instincts" be enough?

Despite all of this, there's STILL a part of you that would really rather not try to figure it all out on your own...and you really DO want to feel prepared instead of just "winging it" regardless of how "natural" parenting is supposed to feel.

MEET OUR TEAM >

From the bustling world of high-tech management consulting to a heart-centered pivot during her own parenting journey, Richelle has seen a lot. While juggling multiple roles, her unexpected transition into motherhood ignited a passion for supporting other families through the beautiful chaos of early parenthood. This spark gave birth to "From Pregnant to Parent"—the modern-day parenting village she proudly founded in 2019.

Richelle's hands-on experience, coupled with her extensive certifications—from childbirth education and doula services to specialized training in RETAIN Parental Leave coaching and sleep consulting—equips her with a comprehensive toolkit to guide families. Specializing in areas such as navigating identity shifts, parental burnout, childbirth prep, and building robust support systems, she’s dedicated to helping parents thrive, not just survive.

Outside of her coaching role, Richelle cherishes moments with her family in the San Francisco Bay Area, whether that's a trip to the farmer’s market, a day at the zoo, or a cozy movie night.

Frequently Asked Questions

When you purchase the program, you also get access to a private online community that includes our coaches and the other members of your group. This is your space to ask questions, connect, and seek guidance between calls.

Inside that online community, you'll also get access to an exclusive resource library containing pre-recorded bonus modules that can be completed as either pre-work or homework between sessions. They're not required, but we do recommend watching them to learn even more about the topics we cover in our group calls.

You'll also get a copy of each presentation and the accompanying handouts, workbooks, guides, and tools to help you review and apply what you're learning during each session.

The best part is, you can access everything via an app on your phone to make it even easier to participate!

Last but not least, you'll also get exclusive discounts on 1:1 Coaching for the duration of the program and priority registration for our other groups designed to support you after your baby is born as you navigate the newborn phase and adjust to life with your little one(s).

What's the time commitment? Are the sessions recorded?

What's the time commitment? Are the sessions recorded?

The Time Commitment:
The core component of this program is the group calls, which are held LIVE on Zoom. Each call is approximately 90-minutes long. You can view the full schedule on the checkout page. Click here to view the checkout page for more details.

Participation Commitment:
To get the most value out of this experience, we ask that you commit to showing up and participating in those calls. The pre-recorded bonus modules and "homework" will help you feel even MORE prepared. However, if showing up for those calls is all you do, you'll still be ahead of the game!

Recordings Policy:
We don't record sessions because we believe it's more important to create a safe space for open and honest sharing during discussions. Our commitment to privacy helps us make sure everyone to feel safe being vulnerable while discussing sensitive topics. The good news is, all live session material are included in the resource library and the online community space creates a space to ask questions and catch-up on what you may have missed to provide flexibility when "life happens" while preserving the integrity and intimacy of the group experience.

Who exactly is this program for? Are partners welcome?

Who exactly is this program for? Are partners welcome?

This program was designed with birthing mothers in mind, which means that is the primary audience we were considering when building this curriculum.

That being said, our program is designed to deliver a tailored and inclusive experience for more than just that audience, including:

Birthing parents who don't identify as "mothers."
We are committed to using inclusive language to create a safe space for everyone who needs and deserves support preparing for birth and parenthood.

Primary Caregivers who aren't giving birth.
The only session that may not feel relevant to you is the session on preparing for birth (unless, of course, you will be supporting someone else through labor and birth, such as a partner, surrogate, or biological parent).

Partners
We are here for the partners who want to be equally as informed and prepared. So, we welcome partners to join any and all sessions. Have your partner join for 1 or 2 sessions, or invite them to join them all!

The best part about leading small groups in this way is that we can tailor the content specifically to each group and it's unique makeup of participants!

What's the cost? Are there any payment options or plans?

Investing in our "Preparing for Parenthood" program is not just about a price tag; it's an investment in your well-being, support, and preparation as you embark on this incredible journey. Here's how we've structured the cost to make it as accessible as possible:

  • Full Payment Option: You can choose to pay for the entire program upfront for a one-time payment of $285 USD. This is perfect if you prefer to make a single payment and have everything taken care of right away.

  • Payment Plans: We understand that financial flexibility is essential, especially during this significant life transition. That's why we offer various payment plan options, allowing you to spread the cost over several installments. You can either make 2 monthly payments of $145 USD ($190 total) or 3 monthly payments of $99 USD ($297 total). For the payment plans, you'll make your first payment at signup. Additional payments will be processed automatically one time per month until all payments have been made.

  • Sliding Scale Spaces: We are committed to making this program accessible to a wide range of families. We have a limited number of sliding scale spaces in each group, which allows us to accommodate various financial situations. For more information about this opportunity, please email hello@frompregnanttoparent.com.

We believe that preparation, support, and knowledge should be accessible to every future parent. We've created these options to help ensure that no one misses out on this vital resource due to financial reasons.

How long will I have access to the resources and community?

How long will I have access to the resources and community?

We are currently committed to hosting the resources and private community space for up to two (2) years after the start of the first group call, which means you'll retain full access to the resource library and community feed during this period.

All group members are also currently given access to our broader online community, the From Pregnant to Parent Village. You'll continue to maintain access to that community for as long as that community exists (or until you choose to leave).

If any of this changes, we're committed to communicating these updates via email to all of our impacted members with ample time to address any concerns you have.
